MARTIN SHAPIRO SIGNING AT MELTDOWN LA--THIS WED, 10/5

Screenwriter Martin Shapiro will be at Meltdown Comics signing copies of his new horror comic book series, CHOPPER, followed by a Q&A about how he sold the movie rights.

Created by Martin Shapiro and drawn by acclaimed Dark Horse artist Juan Ferreyra (Falling Skies, Rex Mundi), Chopper is a modern-day reimagining of the headless horseman of Sleepy Hollow fame. After taking a strange new drug with supernatural side effects at a party, the rebellious teenage daughter of a police officer starts seeing ghosts and is stalked by the Reaper, a headless Hell’s Angel on a motorcycle who collects the souls of sinners in the afterlife.

This autograph event will take place on Wednesday, October 5th from 6-9 pm at Meltdown Comics at 7522 W Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90046.

The first 50 people to arrive get a free copy of the limited edition Chopper prequel one-shot ORIGIN OFCHOPPER featuring a painted cover by Tony Mauro and 25 pages of sequential art by legendary colorist Drew Posada, his last book before he died.
